Hi, I bought some NOS Hella headlights and I noticed that the interiors have a cloudy appearance (they have a kind of white substance inside). The funny thing is that the exteriors headlights are perfectly clear. I have also seen many photos (including press photos) in which the interior headlights seem to look like this. Is this normal or is it a defect? Can they be cleaned?
Regards.

Yes they can be cleaned. I have had good results using tablets used to clean dentures. The brand I used was Steradent. Left them to do their work overnight and the results were good. Of course you need to have the headlamp removed and sitting face down on the glass when you do this.
I used this method on my e21 headlights.

Yes, did that also, but mind you, flush them with demineralized water, to prevent calciumspots from appearing.e21Keith wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 6:38 pm Yes they can be cleaned. Thank you very much for your answers. I will try to clean them that way. So everything, one thing catches my attention, all the headlights I've seen with that defect are interior ones.
