i'm using the M42 bellhousing with the 5 speed m10 e21 interior. The rear part is also from e21 5 speed, just the bell is different.

There are new seats installed in the e21 for quite some time now, I sold the old Recaros from KadettC/Manta to a fellow forum buddy that wanted them beacause he is doing a great restomod on his Opel Kadett C and I wanted to help and also use this chance to get more comfortable seats in the e21.
I've looked around and one recaros slipped from me and I'm glad they did bacause I found another pair, this one from Opel Omega B. The color is quite matchy-matchy with the rest of the interior and a bit welding was done but now it's in. The seating is amazing, probably the most comfortable seats I've ever been in. They hold up nicely in the corners but there are many settings possible with them and my back doesn't hurt anymore even at long trips. Happy camper!
But I am however starting to detect an Opel pattern here and purists are definitely not happy with me

Well they look great indeed, and yes, they are a tremendous improvement compared to the regular flat seats, fine for long drives indeed and yours still look fresh, too! When's your birthday? We'll get you an Opel decal for the hood

Re: '80 BMW 316 e21 in Alpinweiss
Hey guys, it has been a while. I have sold my e21 a while back. It was an amazing car and with the m42 swap it was a last to drive. I have however got my chance to buy my dreamcar as a barnfind and had to do it.
I went from a restored car to one of the rustiest cars I have ever seen in my life but I am glad I did it. The car in question is Opel Manta A from '71. Sitting in a barn for 20 years and now in process of restoration. Few pictures:
As you can see I have work cut out for me If you would like to follow body reapir process you can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/user/l3v4rt/videos
I was super glad to be part of this community with amazing cars and great people ready to help. I will drop in from time to time to creep on your builds. Cheers guys and drive safely!
