I Bought my 320/6 a couple of days ago and I'm here to flash it. Its my very first car (I'm 32!), and I'm very excited that it's an e21. I think the design is really awesome, plus it drives great. But I guess I'm preaching to choir on this
I'm the fourth owner (plus the dealer I bought it of) and I bought it as is, so didn't do any restoration or repairs myself. It was restored as a multi year project by the guy the dealer had bought it from, who owned it from 2009-2017 but never had it registered. It's produced in '82, first registered in '83, has been Danish all it's life, and has clocked only 107k kilometers. The restoration work is very thorough by keeping original parts when possible, restoration when possible, and replacing parts when necessary.
I bought it as a keeper, which I'll be driving for leisure. So no commuting and definitely no winter driving.

Welcome Matthias! A proper introduction on the car! Can you share dome interior pics with us? On 24 June the anual Sharknosemeeting takes place in Barneveld, the Netherlands. It would be great to meet you there! www.sharknosemeeting.com
A suggestion: personally I would paint the lower part of the front valance black, as it is supposed to be. Same goes for the black stripes on the valance. But overall a beautiful car, you have!
Do you have any history with BMW's?

Thanks!
No history with BMWs myself, apart from vaguely remembering cars like this one driving around when I was a kid. I'd thought about getting a car for a couple years. However, I do not need a car (I bike 3 km to work), so a new car seemed silly (and boring). A slightly used car seemed less silly but still boring. Then, the last half a year, or so, I checked car listings regularly for older cars, and whenever an E21 (320 or above - dual headlights FTW) was listed it clearly stood out to me. When I saw this one listed I brought my dad to look at it (he's a mechanic), I went for a test drive, and I bought it a week later.
Enough story time
Haven't even noticed that the front valance is supposed to be black - still largely a noob
The door handles and the mirrors have also been painted, which I'm not too fond of. So I might get the front valance done together with them. The original black, is it painted black or "plastic"-black?
The Sharknosemeeting looks interesting, however, I'm at a festival in Copenhagen that weekend.
Will take pictures of the interior tomorrow. The weather have been horrid today.

Thanks for the welcome!
As promised, here some pictures of the interior. I like that the original interior has been kept despite it being slightly worn (e.g. polished-from-usage steering wheel and faded colors on seats). Because it is an old car, which (to me) makes worn interior fitting.
