I would always go with an original paint. So an e21 colour. But if you stray away fron that idea, than a Alpina colour? If you like the greens all together, I might suggest the e30 Alpina Green?

Looking forward to further updates. Picking a paint color.... tough one!
Been too long!!.....engine has been rebuilt already so just waiting to be put in.

Colour is a tough one but i think its prob best to stay within the alpina catalogue, would it be rude to choose an E30 shade as uwbuurman suggested?

When the sunroof roof was blasted there were some pinholes after so thats why we went with tintop genuine roof panel.....these roofs and panels are quite heavy too so weight saved there, will miss the pimp tilt roof pics though....the inside was pretty scabby e_surprised

Known weakpoint, but a place you will only see when you're restoring I guess, still, looks pretty bad indeed. Personally I wouldn't give up my sunroof and source a dcent used roof with sunroof, but yes it is quite heavy! Any more progress?

Very slow progress on my part......its all about the money and i need some...lol.......but should be able to progress with it again in next few months and get it to paint.

Do hear you on the sunroof......mine is garaged so no issues with leaks etc......but i am happy i have saved the weight from it.....at the time i could not find one so went with the tintop.

The shell has been moving on, wanted to keep it as close to what it would of been from the factory so went black stonechip underneath and kept the og colour of ascot grey metallic done in the rest of the car, will get some pics soon.....then the build up will start.....shell should be ready by the end of this month.

I want to replicate the og alpina wheels so might get a forged set made as a copy of them in one piece but a little wider so maybe 6.5 and 7.5 or 7 and 8s.
