Thermostat plugs

Post by priest 008 »

Hi guys, on my thermostat housing there are several sockets. Would you be able to tell me where they connect to please? The only socket which I’m aware of it’s function is the one with a red cover which says BMW, it’s to connect the car to a computer...
Model is BMW e21 320/6 1982.

The others are temp sensors driving the thermal time switch and the temp gauge on your dash.

Jeroen, I thought as much but the problem is I have no idea where the wires of them are found. I thought the temperature switch was found under the manifold.

hmmmm I posted with 323i in mind, not sure abvout 320/6 but at least it has a coolant temp sensor on the thermostat housing. Wire comes from main engine loom underneath the intake manifold afaik
