Hello all, I'd like to keep my stock head unit in my car. The current one I have seems to be damaged internally as the speaker outputted to the left is really weak. (If I swap the wires, the right side becomes weak, which rules out everything but the radio itself). I'm looking to find a replacement radio and I assume any radio I pick up will have old/brittle bands that drive the cassette deck reels. Has anyone refurbished one of these?
Thanks!

Re: CM5804 Cassette Repair?
Yup I've done multiple. With some models it is real easy to get to the belt or belts, with some it can be a real pain in the butt. Usually you can't order belts on part/model number anymore but most electronics parts shops can supply decent replacements.
