They are far from equal length. There was simply not enough space. I tried to make it as good as possible within the space.
It should be much better than the original log-style ones.

Re: e21 m60V8 Drift project
I have been working on the X-Pipe for a couple of evenings. Most people say it is the best to have it as close to the engine as possible.
Maybe this might be a little to close... But it was the only option to do it like this if i wanted to keep the left and right pipe equal length.
From this point a double pipe should go along the right hand side of the gearbox so i have no heat and space issues on the drivers side for the pedals e.t.c.

Re: e21 m60V8 Drift project
In the mean time i had a driveshaft made, and balanced by a specialist. The main part including the hardy disk is from the 740i donor car, made to a e34 constant velocity joint.
So now i could line up the gearbox, and build the support. The exhaust has to go under it.
first i made this:
but if i made brackets for it, it was not possible to lower the transmission (when removing)
so this was the solution:

exhaust is finished!
exhaust suspension at the rear axle:
added some V-bands so the mufflers can be removed, and to be able to mount the exhaust.
