I'm sure there are probably worse cars that have been restored, but this one appeared to be pretty bad. A friend of mine once said if you have enough time and money anything can be restored. You have come a long way. Great work.

Thank you Jeroen :thumbsup

It spiralled as you can see when the stripdown started and i thought it best to try and soldier on through it and here we are.......it feels good to know that it will be a very well finished and solid E21.

I was in 2 minds on the direction of the car, but i loved it the way it was, as the alpina clone so i will be going down the same route again.

It already has the E12 (i think) scheel alpina seats in, which are looking their age, but i can get them redone as they are lovely seats.....or i had an idea to get the recaro set like this.

Then there is the engine etc.......so not sure it will be finished this year even, but will update here.

The original colour it was in is very nice so i didnt feel the need to change it...i thought it looked very good against the decals.

And i am very much craving one of those alpina digital vent gauges if it could work....or an awron one.

I think they are pretty wide, so, you might not be able to slide them all the wat back and forward

Long time guys, mad how time passes with these things, it will be moving along again very soon, got a M50 engine that i am thinking of doing a forged build on and turboing, but then my mind keep saying keep it old school and go with the original M20 2.7 that was in it, with throttle bodies....main reason i wanted the turbo M50 was so it could keep up with the current power levels of cars you get nowadays.

I have sorted the interior for it which is E21 specific recaro in alpina trim, i went for all velour with vinyl sides as was the E12 scheel seats that were in it, matching bench and headrests, they might be overkill though so may change them.

Looks great! Only thing is that the rear headrests do look a bit funny.
