We have an early BMW E23 with an 3.5 litre M90 engine with the motronic intake manifold and setup, like this:
We're thinking of putting it in our BMW E12
For the looks we would like to use an earlier intake manifold (L-jetronic) like this:
Is it possible to just swap the intake and leave the motronic setup?
I've seen motronic 1.3 engines (M30B35) with an oldschool intake manifold, so I was hoping this would work to.
If this is possible, so just screw the Throttle Housing etc on the old manifold, what extras need to been done? for instance, what to do with the startervalve on the old manifold?
thanks

Re: M90 engine intake manifold swap question
My engine (m90 original)is now out of my car.
If necessary you can take some measurements.
If it wil fit... I don't know

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.
