Ask your local dealer or, better still, call the classic section at Park Lane. They may have to mail BMW for you though, as the computer system they use was ''updated'' and a lot of the older chassis numbers come back with the wrong car info.

Also depends on what info you're looking for, the most basic info can just be found entering the last 7 digits of the VIN at http://bmwfans.info/
