I'm trying to find a new or used (must of course be in order) "Additional Air Slide Valve" to my 1978 323i - BMW part No 13631272167. Hope there are someone within this coumunity who can help me:)
Or if some one knows a place where this can be repaird / refurbished.

Re: Additional Air Slide Valve
Hi, I’m trying - step by step - to identify why I have trouble starting the engine when warm. And I think it might not be enough vacuum - and that might be due to this valve not working… ??
I’ve had the rest of the k-Jetronic refurbished at Meingeteiler/ German Spob..
Cold start is not problem, the runs smooth - but when I then try to start up after leaving it off for some time it does not fire up..

Re: Additional Air Slide Valve
the bosch manual suggests a modification that inserts the electric fan to cool the engine compartment when the engine is hot, I have done this successfully in at least 2 cars
another suggestion was to have the injector inserted cold even when the engine was hot
if you want I will send you the Bosch manual with the diagram

Re: Additional Air Slide Valve
I removed the valve, since our cars ar '78 models, they have the electrical air slide valve. I hooked it up to a battery and watched it close all the way, proving it to be working correctly.

Hook it up and watch it for 5 of 6 minuts, as it starts to move. Mine closed up in like 10 minuts.
