Wanted: E21 323i 220 hm/h "0.762" speedometer

Post by S-14/E-21 »

Hi,

I'm looking for a functioning 323i, 220 hm/h "0.762" speedometer (only), but will consider a full cluster.
The condition of the speedo face is not important as long as it functions.
This will be for a 260 km/h speedo project (new face), and it's easier to start with a "0.762" version.

I need the speedometer calibrated for a 3.45, and this is the "0.762" version to my knowledge...

0,911 = 4,10-differential (315)
0,911 = 4,11-differential (316-1,6, 318)
0,866 = 3,91-differential (316-1,8, 318i, 320/4, 320i-1,8i)
0,808 = 3,64-differential (320i-2,0, 320/6)
0,762 = 3,45-differential (323i)

That said, I believe some E12 speedos may also work...

Please PM or email me (philtunedbmw@hotmail.com) if you have anything.

Thank you!
Phil

Thank you for your reply.

I checked your ad, are you sure it is from a 323i and not a 320/6?
I checked the pics, but unfortunately the label is missing that would confirm it is a "0.762", and not a "0.808"...

Thanks again,
Phil

The early examples like Nicola's didn't have the correction factor printed on the face plate but had it either etched at the metal back cover, or on a sticker. Sticker's gone, perhaps you can find something etched in the metal?

I can look at it tonight when I get home, my 4-cylinder is post 79 and that instrumentation wasn't suitable anyway
