Hello everyone,
I am trying to find a glove box catch for my E21.
There are two part numbers on realOEM (No.51161817655 & No.51161849300) and not sure which one I need.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

Re: Request: Glove Box Catch
Glad this posting made it through!
For your car (pre Aug 79 production) you need either number, they are interchangeable. Looks like the *655 is still available from BMW for peanuts.

Yes, the post worked once I used my mobile service. Something might be wrong with my WiFi.
I asked my local BMW dealership a couple months ago but they said it was NLA, but I’ll try again. Where did you see it was available?
Thanks!

Re: Request: Glove Box Catch
Local dealership has an online checkup function. Not 100% accurate but I'd say 99%. If your dealer checked and it came up NLA, it must be NLA, but a used catch will also be fine, as long as its pre facelift.

Re: Request: Glove Box Catch
Do they differ from type 2’s? Mine broke down some while ago and I believe I replaced it with an e30 hatch.
