Finally I had some time to work on the 320iS. No urgent matters as the car runs fine but always looking to improve.
I took care of a few hoses, the few I hadn't replaced while I was doing major engine bay work last year. The three vacuum hoses connected to the brake booster and the return hose to the coolant tank.
Heard about failing coolant tank caps a few times now and since mine was quite corroded inside I replaced it.
Had my injectors cleaned & overhauled two weeks ago, now refitted them. Idle could have improved slightly (or is it just my imagination?) but from 3000 rpm onwards the engine is slightly more powerful. Love those small gains on a car that doesn't perform half bad already.
So what do I have planned for the 320iS this winter:
-finally fitting UweM3's oil pan baffle
-finally replacing the fuel filter
That last thing is about the only 'regular maintenance' part I didn't replace sofar but hey, as always... better stay ahead of trouble!
