The fuel system will be staged to reduce noise and amps used.
5 psi switch for second facet pump
then if required, a second 044 pump on a 10 or 15 psi switch.

all pupmps will be individual relays with own fuses

Very very nice work here.

do yourself a favour, and check the stock fueltank, they tend to rust and leak in the fillerpipe area, thats where a set of hoses for airvent are situated.
mine is gone in that area, can't fill her fully anymore.
i'm going for a rally tank in the trunk.

Are all the new brake lines flexibele hoses? And if so, aren't you afraid for a soft brake pedal with meters of flexible brake hose?

The tank looked quite new when i first got it, also did the fill right up test.
But you are right, it will be taken out any way, some bits of rubbish fell in when removing the fuel sender so need to flush it, the drain bung does not do a complete drain.

I am keeping the car mostly for road and as user friendly as possible so is handy to have a large ish lined boot and not fill with a tank. trying to keep the weight low and even it out right to left.
Battery will be boot left side as well.

Brake softness, yes probably will be more than with hard lines, but a few reasons why I chose braided;
1. I wanted to try it, read all the reviews but wanted first hand experience
2. I was fed up lying under cars, wanted to run inside and the flexibility made it a lot easier.
3. I hate the way non OEM lines look, little kink's here and there.
4. I removed the twin lines for the front and all the booster linkages from the front, so will it be any softer than before??? I'll soon fint out. there was 1 1/2 travel in the pedal just to take up slack in the linkages before.
5. I like the BLING factor :thumbsup

P.S Bertje how is the MS conversion running, I may need to borrow some ignition figure's to use to get started on the DTA ECU mapping.

spare wheel well has been cleaned and coated in Upol gravitex to try and reduce some of the noise, next weekend should be starting the boot installation.

MS is now in for more than a year and didn't give no problems what so ever.
Car starts and runs better than ever before.Wife is very happy with it, that says enough.
We did some long trips and a few classic rallys with it.

what info do you need?

more things done.

boot fuel install

not screwed or clamped yet, they are in the post.
2 signal cabled for 2 stage pumps.

Image

battery bolted down and a few holes drilled, just need rubber grommets fitted.

Image

fuel lines and battery cable routing

Image

Image

space for second supply line if required.

Image

bulkhead fittings and RTV curing for main power cable.

Image
these lovlees arrived from vibrotechnics

s38 oil housing
Image
oil cooler temp switch and supply for turbo, yes please.

Image
One MR Holset HE531v turbo, mmmmmmm, shaft speed sensor might come in handy, looks like 3 pin hall effect type sensor.
while looking for a rebuild kit, I found a brand new one for not much more so that will be installed instead.

just to compare to a T25, exhaust housing varies from 16 to 31 cm will be controlled using the DTA ECU with pwm vacuum valve tps, vs rpm possibly second valve on second map to include exhaust MAP pressure sensing.

a "GOODNTIGHT" copy manifold from germany i am sure not as nice as his, it came with 2yr crack warrenty, but i couldnt have made this for the price i paid so worth a punt and dont mind chopping and altering if required. waste gate will prob be blanked.

see his car here, i love it.

you can see its not seamless tubing and not 100% penetration, so i am taking bets on how long it will last.

someone has been in here before, rods are numbered.
dual valve springs have been fitted.
managed to get a M5 5kg fly wheel so a Sachs 765 plate and PPF sintered disc will be ordered, rated to 800nm.
slight corrosion on the bore, if it does not hone out will be bored locally, then i need to decide if i can afford forged pistons.
front pully hub needs the extra dowel mod
clean clean and clean.
PPF Z55 crank looks good
double springs
alloy lockers
HD rockers
coopering or cometic gasket
ARP all round

that should be me good 'n' safe, I hope.

any one used Glyptal on the inside of the Block, been looking at that as well as crank scrapers.

M5 oil cooler it 15mm outlet/inlet so will prob be a 25 row an10 cooler, its a thermostatic outlet so no need for one of the mocal inline units.

I'M looking forward to playing with the VNT, its basically a HX50 or 52, 7 blade titanium compressor, but exhaust is similar sized when 16cm as HX35 so should be 15psi by around 2800 RPM
plus sound like a jet engine. :boogie

see here for larger he551v boot installed on 5.5 v8 amg:

i think you gonna need to beef up your seat brackets, those M6 bolts will snap-off when that turboed engine launches :shock

nice build, keep on going...
