Why do I hear "coughing" from the filter at cold (when temp is really low-as today : 4 degrees celsius) starts?
Here's the description:
I turn the key, and it "coughs" once or twice and does not start. Then, I turn the key again, and it starts, (no more coughing), and idles with only the normal "problems" of being cold (I have to have the choke pulled out in order to help it keep the revs up, until it gets warm)

And another issue: when I have the choke pulled out, pressing the accelerator has a somehow "empty" response, I have to close the choke in order to have normal throttle response

I am planning to remove my front fog lights, as they can't exist together with the BBS front spoiler.
So I am also going to remove the switch from the dash as it's going to be useless. I was thinking to fit a second lighter in the hole.. Not a smoker, but I believe that a second 12V plug would be more than helpful (sometimes you need to charge at the same time 2 mobile phones, or a phone and the GPS and so on.)
Can anyone tell me whether a lighter would fit there?

Is your fan missing a blade? In that case the unbalance may cause excessive wear on the water pump.

Oh, I see...Well, I have always remembered it this way...
Should it have one more blade there? I have to look into this...

can I easily find a new one?

Sometimes it's optical dilusion (or plain blindness lol) but the blades should of course be spread evenly, like in the pics below. If that's the case it may be just the picture and the fan might be ok??

No, I now also think it is like you say!!!!!!
I have to check this.
Tell me please, these pictures show, if I understand well, the upper the fan for M10, and the lower the fan for M20? So am I right to look for a fan like the one in the upper picture?

that's correct, even though I think I saw some 4 cil E21's with more (9) blades as well but perhaps my memory is not serving me correctly. There must be some reason why there's this sign down the driveway that's says 'home for the mentally challenged'

Thanks Jeroen!!
I will look into the matter and post the news in here...
Anyway, If I am to go for a new one, I think I should look for the M10 one...Would I have any reason to fit an M20 9-bladed fan?
If it would work better in hot Greek summer, I might consider it...However, I have already fitted a thermostat for south climates, and the temperature, even in the summer, never climbs up to more than on quarter of the scale ;-)
Might everything work better by fitting the 9blade fan?

Chances are quite big the lug pattern on both cogwheels or the depth is different so you can't fit the M20 version with the viscous coupling but I'm not sure, haven't done too much M10 stuff the past 20 years I'm afraid. If you never had huge temp probs why change anyway?
