It was an amazing weekend at my favorite track at Spa in Belgium. Qualifying results, the early part of the race, 2.6 second pit stop for Button, and definitely for the history books is Raikkonen overtaking Schumacher at Eau Rouge, almost impossible! The vid should have started a little earlier but ok, and Raikkonen's speed... pfffff!
Hamilton's back luck or bad car, Massa appears not to be up to the job anymore, Schumacher in panic or something crashing like that... but at least Vettel is still in the race for the championship offering Alonso some competition. Not a real good score for Raikkonen but still he collected quite some points sofar, not a bad return! All 'n all it was another interesting race with nice close racing.
Great race today! Saw an extensive interview with Raikkonen prior ot the race, where he was telling that his last F1 win in 2009 might very well be his last win in F1 ever... and now winning in a convincing way! And speechless about Vettel starting from the pitlane and ending up on the 3rd spot overtaking Buttom in the closing stages of the race. That makes him my champion for this year.
Hmmmm Alonso got some help from his team sacrificing Massa's position, still he ran a good race I guess and he's still in the championship. It's all down to the last race in Brasil next week!
Nerve breaking final race! Let's not forgot that Button id fine as well! And Vettel had us all, including his own team, biting our nails I guess for keeping pushing on and taking more risk most of us would have taken with the worls title at risk. But to come back all the way from behind and grab the title makes him the deserved world champ. Congrats to Sebastian Vettel!
Overall one of the best season's of Formula One i've seen.
Lots of close racing and battling for position throughout the year and a cracker of a seaon finale.
A shame for Lewis on his last race for maclaren to have a DNF but really thats representative of his whole year. So many dnf's that were out of his control.
