Re: Project 326i
Nice work has been done there!
Tell us about the engine! Is it M20B25 with M20b23 crank?

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Re: Project 326i
Can't believe that is the same car. Top work!
Re: Project 326i
Thanks guys! The engine's ingredients:
m20b25 block, m20b23 crank, m52b28 rods, m20b27 pistons. The crown on this is the original cylinder head mildly ported, polished valves and rockers, with the original k-jet.

Re: Project 326i
Nice! How many horses are you expecting to have with this conversion?
Regards/groeten, Jeroen
Re: Project 326i
I can imagine 170 or 180 horse. The CR is 10.1 so that's not unbelievable i think.
Re: Project 326i

Thanks Nas!
I hope, I don't see those shiny stuff anymore.
Rolled fenders on the rear...

...and on the front.

Painted/colorcoded the front wheel arches, and the front panel to black....

...painting the struts/test fit

Re: Project 326i
I made a new front valance. I love the first series exterior style, (except the lip on the valance) but i dont want to change the original front panel. So I'll take the grinder, a fine metal sheet and the welder, and this was borned.
I made "black hellas" too, to watch how it looks. And the imageshack is always cut my pictures.

Amazing progress and I like how you bring your ideas and preferences into practice

Thanks Jeroen!
Re: Project 326i
That front valance is EXACTLY what I wanted to do some day. I like that valance, but always thought it needed a bigger lip.
Looks great, nice work!

jls7: Thanks!
Mcinek: those are BBS Rs in 15" 7,5" on the front, 8" on the rear. And of course those wheels not as simple as it looks like.
Wheels are my biggest disease after the e21. This wheels are originally 5x112 and go to redrilling to 4x100. I bought titan screws, to go light, as i can. This looking is not final, i'm going to 16" next, like Woody, that was the perfect looking for me. But, need two wider lips, and i dont know what was the final bolt pattern on the car, maybe i will go for 5x120.

Tonight's tale follows, soon comes to the current state. Primed the body, and push to the garage to the winter hibernation.

In this winter i finished the wiring, the dashboard and, putted back the carpet...

...few things renovated and built it back to the engine compartment...

...ported the head, polishing the valves and rockers.Attach one picture to watch how it looks to be originally...

Re: Project 326i
Some updates. The engine parts arrived two weeks ago, all new seals, bearings etc, and still waiting for the engine shop.

I do not cry anyway, i'm doing the drivetrain with the e30 differential. The CNC machined diff hangers, and water cutted spacer arrived. The spacer goes between the backplate and diffhouse, im drilled today, and i'll take a pic next time.
