Ah progress! As for the paintwork, I'd either sue the painter
or take it as it is, it's a track car, not a show car!

Thanks Jeroen and Peter.Jeroen wrote:Clean work sir, and the cage, awesome. Nice progress! But, I was wondering if the front needs an additional cross bar, what are the thoughts on that?
Well if you ever fly over you have a place to stay and car to drive.Jeroen wrote:Clear! This is going to be fun to drive!
Hi Jeroen I have been working on getting the dash in - but means I am making sure everything is done that is easier done with it out. Mostly looking and assembling in am mind at the moment.Jeroen wrote:Any updates?
I need to look at the number on the head it is the E30 iS head - the used the stock gaskets and port matched the head to them. Intake gaskets for the head are way bigger then the ports in the intake manifold. Now sure how it is going to work not the best mating of intake to headMicroang wrote:You're still using the 885 head in the engine aren't you? Which gaskets did you use on the larger intake ports?
Love this build, I've been following it on bimmer forms for a while now...
Should be an 885 head then, yeah the ports are almost squares, I'm doing the same sort of setup on mine as I refuse to use fuel injection although mine will mainly be a road car. 4 barrels are the way for combining power and economy, can't wait to see how yours goes.Old Man wrote:I need to look at the number on the head it is the E30 iS head - the used the stock gaskets and port matched the head to them.
