Pfffffffff. Still speechless! Really crossing my fingers for not having any issues . The work is thorough, no risk there. Just hope some silly part failure forces you to have to redo this wonderful job!

Thanks folks, I am aiming to try and show all the best of the mods I have found in one place, this is not a 15K build but a diy optimization.
The cost of parts is not that great at the moment, but you know what they say, experience is expensive. :thumbsup

More to come soon ARP rod bolts arrived by DHL yesterday. and a second used e34 m30 sump is on its way as well.

Oh mate when i saw this e12 i thought it only needed a few tweaks. You have gone all out by the look of it.. You defo are doing loads of nice work.

Perhaps people are not seeing the thread cos the forum is quiet / its in a sub section?

Keep posting though, its good to steal ideas, i was going to ask how come you didnt go for a transplant to a modern engine?

I just liked the look of the M30 to work on. plus the low down torque of the 3.5.

Remember I still have the spare bell housing for the dogleg so other engines are still an option later on. possibly a 530d or m51 or om606 or .......

p.s I like how quite this forum is. Its the only one I post on because of that. :driving

pistons blanked, light key and coated with DFL, this stuff is good for 1200C under non oxidizing conditions, i.e under oil sho we will see how it lasts.

I have so much respect for all of you who are building their own engines in their garage... Same here, you make it look very simpele...

Nice work!
