As a future protection you could put some heat reflecting pad on the underside of the bonnet to protect it?
Is that heat reflekting pad sound proofing as well?
Which material is better? This one or the factory sound proofing foam?

Gave her a gooood wash the other day.
oops, this should be under the "What did you do to your E21 today" thread, perhaps?

Hope to find sometime next week to take a couple of pics to post here...

Was wondering: Any ideas for engine washing?
When the engine bay opens, the dirt existing there is at about 36 years old lool

Just discussed that (over beer) with a US colleague who also drives BMW. Where cupholders are very important to Prius and Audi drivers, BMW drivers don't even want them. They want to keep their car tidy.

:cheers

It's been some time now I was looking for a couple of decent cupholders!
I sometimes do like enjoying a cup of coffee while driving, especially for small trips
I guess the tidiness issue would start after an engine conversion, when side driving (i.e. Drifting) may become an everyday feature! :driving :driving
For now, the 1.6 is not much more than a prius, except for consumption!

At last some serious steps (after the new cupholders :loll )

Just received rear trailing arms and calipers from 323i, from Nas
Can't wait to open the box
Also can't wait to fit them, and these ones are not between the ones that will wait for later
