I missed taking pics, but it is rock solid.

Used the original E21 metal back with strategic holes cut into it. Needed to space the metal back away from the binnacle a bit. Could do with going further to prevent the trip reset being pressed so much.

Then any holes were covered in good old black gaffa tape. Bit cowboy bit it works for me :thumbsup

Hi Ben, was nice to meet you on the Bummerfest in Venlo.
Are you returned home in the meantime ?

Yes, we got home to Hertfordshire last night. Was good to meet lots of fellow E21'ers at Sharknose and Bummerfest.

Spent some time today getting all my pictures onto the laptop, got over 1350 of them to sort through from the last couple of weeks.
Back at work in the morning so will probably be the weekend before i post a thread with some pictures up.

Pretty much, only a couple of very minor events.

Hot/sticky starter motor and a loose earth connection dislodged over some bumps on the motorway which cut the power to the ECU.

Not bad for 2500 miles with some hard driving

Well if you mean: How fast does she go?

I haven't had her fully wound up yet but I have seen 153mph on the satnav (I was already slowing down with the satnav still rising and catching up)

There were no real opportunities to open it up in Germany with traffic and the weather hindering us.

Didn't you tape across your race numbers on the road???
