No, it has a bespoke Alpina box ( special bell housing ) that houses a mixture of 5 & 7 series ratios.dannyboy wrote:

Your right Danny, I am very lucky and were it not for a couple of people, the previous owner being one of them, I wouldn't own it now. I have also made a gentlemans agreement that should I ever sell, the previous owner gets first refusal. He's a thoroughly decent guy.

There's one out there with my name on it.
Re: TWR 335i
mine had to have the bell housing tunnel modified( big hammer probely ) to house the dog box from the e12/e24..... although its a five speed i treat it as a four speed...(2nd gear being my first)... do you still have 140mph speedo from the original dash in place???? if so mine used to show between 120/125 mph when bouncing off the rev limiter in fifth...(145+ mph on the road angle apparently....i was watching what i was doing..)RetroBeemer wrote:it has a bespoke Alpina box ( special bell housing ) that houses a mixture of 5 & 7 series ratios.dannyboy wrote:

Re: TWR 335i
Made a few more enquiries and I'm less certain about the steering wheel but thankfully I've managed to get a period replacement. It needs recovering at some point and I prefer the BMW horn push too.

Re: TWR 335i
That looks like an Alpina one without the centre part. I think the one on your 335 is a E30 Alpina one
