nice find only realised what you have mobster popped round today to have a look at my e12 m535 and was mentioning something about your TWR 335i :shock:

Mark you are a very very very luck so and so...... a TWR 335I.... and i thought mine was the bollox... so so so nice.. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
twr and hartage mounted these m30s as far back against the bulk head as possiable to retain the balance as much as possiable... it will supprise you.. althought with the torque and power it will switch ends very quickly... :oops:
does she have the dog leg box????
e21 335i gone but not to far.
e21 316.. still

No, it has a bespoke Alpina box ( special bell housing ) that houses a mixture of 5 & 7 series ratios.

Your right Danny, I am very lucky and were it not for a couple of people, the previous owner being one of them, I wouldn't own it now. I have also made a gentlemans agreement that should I ever sell, the previous owner gets first refusal. He's a thoroughly decent guy.

mine had to have the bell housing tunnel modified( big hammer probely ) to house the dog box from the e12/e24..... although its a five speed i treat it as a four speed...(2nd gear being my first)... do you still have 140mph speedo from the original dash in place???? if so mine used to show between 120/125 mph when bouncing off the rev limiter in fifth...(145+ mph on the road angle apparently....i was watching what i was doing..) :shock: :launch

Made a few more enquiries and I'm less certain about the steering wheel but thankfully I've managed to get a period replacement. It needs recovering at some point and I prefer the BMW horn push too.

That looks like an Alpina one without the centre part. I think the one on your 335 is a E30 Alpina one

Nice find mate and am sure you gonna have many years of pleasure in the TWR, just remember to floor it good and proper when you sit in the seat as thats simplpy what they were made for!!! :D
