Nice, is it factory black? Love the single headlight grill , wheels would look much better silver IMHO, you got the basis of a lovely car, I not a fan of Black cars but it does suit old bmw's with the chrome so well

Yes factory black Andy. Had the wheels powder coated in a colour called old power silver, didn't want something to bling with a lot of metal flake
When I went to pick up the wheels and have the tyres fitted and balanced by the powder coaters they did the job well but told me the bad news that two of my newly aquired kumos had blisters in them. the pics are actualy the ones I took to send to the guy who sold the tyres to me.
had two other problems with the set up. 205 60 15 which I bought on a friends advice are to big 50's are the preffered.
I also had a very senior moment and bought 20mm spacers to correct the ET which is far to wide only needing 10mm so I'm getting those down to the machine shop to be milled down 10mm.I was told by Nas 10mm who knows where I got 20mm
The one thing I'm pleased with is the quality of the powder coating and the colour.
There are no good pics of the wheels on the car yet waiting for the new tyres and thinner spacers

Unless you roll the arches you may find 195/50's are a better fit.

you have to question why your tyres have bulges in them when they are supposed to be new.. the tyres are too big you want 195/50/15 or 195/45/15

Unfortunately Nas these tyres weren't new, part worn, the guy has said he would give me a refund for the two. The pics with the wheels in dark grey have 195 45 15's on and they just seemed to thin on the ground. On the bimmerforum there is a thread, what wheels go on a E21, they are all using, with 15x7j rims, 205 50 15's, but then they aren't using spacers. I suppose this would make a difference to the tyre width??

60-series tyres are too much in that spec indeed. And I believe there are more similar horror stories on Kumho tyres. Seems to be a ongoing production issue they keep having and which has caused a lot of exploding tyres hence they may be good, they're not reliable at all hence hardly sold here.
