Nice to see both Joe and Nas again.
Cheers to Nas for sorting stand.
Shame about the apocalyptic rain at midday.
Having a great time with my boys up until that point!!
Didn't take any pics as was hoping for stand fill up a bit.
I had just reached the E21 stand when the rain chaos hit and I ran back for my life! The cars looked sweet. I especially liked the black one on the 15" BBS Mahles.
Well I'm gutted I missed it. Since my engine is recently rebuilt I needed to do an oil change before I could bring the car that far. It's not easy to get under the car when you have mobility problems, but I eventually got underneath and organised. Loosened the sump bolt, made to slide the catch tray under and had the mother of all spasms in my bad arm. Shot the tray right under the car as warm oil came pouring all over the floor... cue back spasms, head cracked on the bottom of the engine and a bad case of cramps. Had to just lay there till it all subsided and I could retrieve the tray to catch the last .5l of oil...
The effort of having to clean it all up late on Saturday meant I was just too knackered to manage the drive on the Sunday...
Next time I think I'll just take it to the garage...
Sadly I didn't make it up to the E21 stand as I was tied up with the morning hill runs and then the rains came. Good to see Nas, Rob & Simon again though, albeit briefly. Hopefully Santa Pod will be dry next month?
Back in Holland, did 2400 km with the e21. Had a good time meeting you guys at Retro Rides.
Weather: really bad after 12:00 pm, but luckily i took a few photo's before the rain came in.
