Great! These rust places are common on e21's, it's hard to repair at the back windows so you don't need a lot of filler. I agree wit hthe M42 plan, I'm slowly making towards that swap too, still hunting parts, I have an e36 model that have a different sump, intake (DISA),.., so a bit more changes will have to be made to make it fit. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

I had everything set to arrange collection of the engine+lip spoiler+wheels this weekend - and the coil spring on my estate car has snapped!!!!
Testing times hahaha
So tomorrow is a morning in the garage with some spring compressors, and not on an e21 I'm afraid
