Mr Owen certainly builds a sweet m10.
Unfortunatly, he falls into the ' if you have to ask, you can't afford it' camp! Circa £10 grand for a full house engine I believe.

m12 was the turbo'd version.
£10K??

Just think of the e21 you could build for £10 000!

My mistake. It is an M10.
The M12 has the inlet and exhaust sides swapped around in the head. They don't have to be turbo'ed though. I assumed it was an M12 cos the two Chevrons i've looked at closely have both had M12's in.

Really? When was that done do you know? (year) The m10 file I have only mentions canting the engine over.
(I'm not doubting you, just trying to find out more)

I don't actually know much more about M12's. I'm sure someone on here can enlighten us!
M12 is a twin cam too.....
Time to do some research!

Years ago I was offered a Schnitzer twin cam head for an m10. Brand new, unused and still in the crate. They wanted £5K if I remember correctly? Mind you, it'd be worth a few quid now.

all i can think about is these poor engines sitting in muesuem cars not doing anything or getting driven like once a year! just imagine that behind you in the back seat of your e21, but keep the car looking completely standard outside on a set of 13" steels, the fun of it

Man, the servo-to-pedal box to exhaust manifold clearance must be tight...
