I'd appreciate the chaps number please. Thank you.

We went through all the parts taken back and found a load of bushes and stuff that were supposed to have been fitted to MIB last year. The spare m30 engine I bought from Jason was ruined to, once bits were removed and it was left out in all weathers. Were it not for the fact he was supposed to be a mate I wouldn't have believed his lies. Even the stuff he did, as thanks for getting him extra work, he is now trying to say I owe him for! Fortunately I kept every text & email that prove that's simply untrue. He hasn't just shat on me though, as I'm sure we shall see.

The good thing is, that now the assessors have finished, work can get underway to remedy the paint and put the engine together properly.

Gonna pm you the number ov a man called Dave Woodall mate. Turns out he had exactly same problems with an old MGB or something. EXACTLY the same story, same promises, same lame excuses. It was there months til he'd had enuf of the bullshite! Anyways mate it'll prove you aint the first.

Saw the car in the metal last week. (Just missed u) It ain't the paint thats the worst of it. Its the prep - or total lack of it. There all the rubber stuff round the windows n stuff! In the first pics the paint kinda looks ok but then again so does rattle can resprays. Where was it painted? a garden shed?? :loll That bloke should change career!

Thanks.

As you said, in photos you could be forgiven for thinking the paint is Ok. In the metal it's another story.

''The truth will out''.

It comes down to a pattern of behaviour that's been repeated time and time again. I'm not the only e21 owner who having the same problems with him either. Mind you, that probably won't be his fault either.

Sad to hear this at end, but good luck, I've had this sort of problem, with a guy say he said hell do the work when he can't! Grrrrhhhh.

I've been reading this thread post by post for about a week or so. I got so excited for the level of effort you were going through with this, but my heart sank when I saw those pictures. My e21 is a POS compared to this and if I saw my car treated like that I'd be in jail. You are a saint for keeping your cool long enough to see it through to court. Hopefully everything will work out.
