Cheers Nas.

Had these made too.
I had 1mm neopreme added all round the steering wheel. and then covered to give it a more chunky feel.

Something tells me you love alcantara haha! Looks good, good idea to beef up the steering wheel like their current ones, I'd like that for my E46 as well!

No, still waiting on the thing to actually materialise, as there is a large waiting list of people.

Well, time I suppose to pics of what was underneath the carpet.

Passenger sideImage

Driver side

Glove box firewall

and finally driver side firewall

Most of the worst rust is on the firewall where water is coming through, one of the threadsbolts for the glovebox is completely gone, and on the driverside, ther's a hole which will need cutting out and welding in a new piece.
The rest you can see isn't bad, but surface rust, so a lot better than I though, happy days.

I lads, it's not as bad as I thought it would be either

A lot of it is surface, but the major stuff is on the firewall, which once the engine is out is easily sorted. :thumbsup

IT's getting there slowly!!

Today, I ripped out the front panel, wings and inspected for rust around the chassis rails, and inner wings.
I found a few more holes, typical places, so not really that shocked.
WIll order a new front panel for it, and need another goo NSF wing, as it's too far done down by the sill area.

Front panel all off.
I thonk it'll stay of until I get the M30 into the bay, easier than having to lower it from the top.

And M10 ready to come out tomorrow.

Today's been productive and alot of wasted time.

Cleaned up the head, put all the valves and springs back in, fooking collets were a bastard and didn't want to know on a few of them, but perseverance prevailled.

Ordered NEW Febi Rockers from GSF winkeye , as they were able to deliver to me.

Then, problems started, LOL, putting the shafts in, and trying to get the first rocker in place, "Rocker says No", :hammer:

COOONT, looked at it, scratched my head, phoned Zaust (Thanks Marc) :cheers
and after looking at the other 11 of them, GSF had put in an M20 one!!!

On the phone again, and an hour later all sorted..................so I thought, looked at the rocker and realised it wasn't FEBI , but a cheap chinese piece of shit

Again, onto the phone, and another hour late, and checked it before the driver drove off, It was aFEBI M30 Rocker.. :woohoo:

Then it was onwards.
Result....all I have to do now is change a few gaskets for new ones, and it'll be ready to bolt onto the bottom end tomorrow....

Clean rocker shafts.
