Brought my 6th e30 and I'm not parting it for a change.

Post by varden »

Hi everyone

I've been buying e30's mainly for parts since late 2009 but now I've crossed over and brought a road going one as it was just too good to pass up.

Specs and pic copied for the sale ad as follows:
Image

ENGINE/DRIVELINE

• 2.7 litre bottom end “eta Stroker”

• Match ported “731” cylinder head (just resurfaced)

• VAC motorsports MLS headgasket ( just installed)

• Brand new headbolts (just installed)

• Brand new timing belt/pulley/water pump

• Brand new Clutch fan

• Dbilas 282/272 Camshaft

• Double valve springs

• RMR racing adjustable cam gear

• 19lbs injectors

• Megasquirt Engine management

• 3.73 ratio LSD

• Short shifter

• New Centre support bearing on driveshaft

• New rubber giubo on driveshaft

also has larger 325i throttle body and manifold.

SUSP/STEERING/BRAKES

• Bilstein Shocks front and rear

• Lowered front and rear springs

• E36 steering rack (faster ratio) recently installed

• M3 offset front castor bushes

• Polyurethane rear subframe bushes

• Slotted rotors front and rear

• Ebc greenstuff brake pads front and rear

It arrived at my place 2 weeks ago and promptly ruptured the heater hose as the seller left with $5000 of my money in his pocket, fortunately i could cut the hose back and refit and the car has been pretty good since.

This may be the death nell for my beloved e21 now, since i bent a chassis rail my e21 325i project has stalled while i consider reshelling vs repairing.

The e21's rego runs out in June so I'll have till then to make a decision.

Sounds like tough decision regarding the E21, but this is one sweet and fun E30! Congrats!
