Let me introduce my 1981 320/6 - Sepiabraun with 4 speed manual gearbox.
I bought this car on Friday, Ferbuary 13, 2009 from a guy that brought if from Germany for himself. He, fortunately for me, had no cash to do restoration and sold it to me for 1000,- €. It had 217000 km on tachometer. Timing belt was, according sticker on hood, changed on 216298 km in year 2001, so the car wasn't running for a while. There where also almost new Pirelli tires from 2004 and front brakes (discs + pads). Somebody did service just before selling, which I don't understand.
My goal was (and still is) to put the car in original condition. Here are some pictures after I brought it home.

Interior was bit dirty but overall in good condition, everything (apart electric mirrors) was working. Unoriginal clock in the middle of dash, were removed. I had to buy new 'speaker' cover.

I changed oil, filtres, bought wheel cap stickers an did some polishing.

I really enjoyed my BMW during summer. Here is a pict from fall sharks meeting in South Bohemia.

In the fall 2009 began restoration...

Both rear wheel arches were replaced with new original ones.

Tiny hole under left rear light lead to this

Sills and front fenders were also replaced with new ones.

meanwhile at home:

I bought steering wheel from M1 (it was in M535i as well, but from M1 sounds better
)
It it is a bit damaged but it can (and will be) fixed.

All glasses and sunroof removed.
new battery holder

originally is drainage from sunroof placed into sills, we made a decision, that drainage outside sills will improve their lifetime

some other pics before painting

after a year since beginning car was back from paint shop

soon after that began completion

rear end almost finished, rear bumper did not survived and i have to find another one

glasses are in

then I started with interior

almost finished

ready to go home

After more than a year finally home. I have to build garage, so far this shelter must be enough.
BTW. that white French car belongs to my girlfriend

There are still lot of things to do. The biggest issue right now is leaking fuel hose.
But I can't wait until I drive it again
Thanks for reading and Sorry for my English is not good I am born in Czech
