Hiya I'm new here got my e21 about 2months ago.
It's a 1983 318 in red...




The car is solid with only a small spot of rust under the rear bumper,
So far the car has been stripped and is currently having a full respray


I have a leak somewhere!






After paint tha plan is to get a good alarm on it, then start putting it back together
To do list:
Alarm
New seats
Flocked dash
Wooden stealing wheel/ gear knob
De wing mirror, replace with peep mirror
Banded steels or alloys

Top work!

I went down the work shop yesterday no progress yet, made a template to smooth the wing mirrors off. Just need to give it to my mate to make it up out of steel for me.
Didn't win the alloys off eBay so still looking if anyone has any they are thinking of getting rid off and there a good price please let me know.
The other option is banding the steels that are on it, really can't make my mind up.

To me it looks like you have a aftermarked sunroof. I would start there to look for leak. And since you already have the windshield out, buy a new gasket before you install it again.

The sun roof did cross my mind I'll be sealing it up tight when it come to putting it back together.

Does anyone know where I can get the rubber seals for the rear lights, mines are corroded and grubby, can't find then anywhere!!!

You're rebuild it's taking shape nicely, keep up the good work! Mine just came back from the paint shop too, exciting times!

If you're interested I have a set of replica Mims identical to the ones in the picture for sale. They are 15" too so really look the part and they also have the BMW badge in the centre too. If your interested drop me a pm and I can send some pics over.
