MY PROJECT

Bought this 316 back at the begining of the summer from Mark on this forum. Its quite a slow project as I dont have to much time to play cars but I know its always there for when I do have the time. So far I have cleaned all the paint work up, fitted 14'' BBS cross spokes. I have some lowering springs to fit to loose that big gap, which should happen in a few weeks. I want to fit a leather interior at some point so I'm allways on the lookout for one, I believe an e30 interior fits with a little fettling? I'll put some more pics up when she's lowered to show the difference.

Looks sweet! Personally I'd put some effort in finding an E21 interior instead and keep things original. Those E30 wheels are a lot easier to change than an interior.

Got some new trinkets to fit

Image

A nice clean 32/36 Progressive Weber carb that came off a 316 that was running sweet and some lowering trinkets in the back drop, soon to be fitted. Does anybody know if its possible, or has anybody managed to fit the original air filter on to a weber, or would it just end up to high?

I knew it was stuffed but it still drives, just maybe not as good as it will do :-)

I cleaned the paint a bit when I had this car. (with my hands) it needs a dual action machine polisher cos it was in a right state .. I think someone had sprayed a fence or something near it..

Nas, if you can remember it what would you say was wrong(stuffed) with the carb.

Fitted weber 32/36 yeterday and it runs like a dream

yes pretty boring shots

Image

Image

well every thing fits ontop

Image

and the biggest bonus is the bonnet shuts so no need for the K&N filter set up

Image

front bumper off to offer up the BBS splitter. drill the wholes and to make sure of a good snug fit before spraying
