Here she is;

In March 2011 it was that after a long search for the new sharknose i came across this one and i just had to buy it.

Type: BMW 320/6.
Year: 4 november 1981.
Registration date in Italy: 2 Maart 1982.
Mileage: When i bought it: 17958 km

This car has the following options:
* Sunroof.
* Rear pop-out windows.
* Airco.
* 5-manual.
* Tinted windows.

The airco unit is placed as an aftermarket in Italy and the complete manual is included. The car's original habitat is the island of Sicily, Italy.

There are several things that had some attention because of it's low mileage. All the rubber parts needed to be replaced, Brakes are overhauled and a weber conversion has been done.

After some research and a translationsite i read that the top part of the body had a respray because of some topcoat damage. The sun had made the topcoat bad.

A little update of my car. The winterproject of 2013/2014 was a great one. Due to corrosion of the suspension i decided it was time to give it a big clean-up.

The complete suspension was removed and all the bearings, seals, shockabsorbers etc where removed. After this it was powdercoated so the rebuild could start.
I was very happy to find no rust.

Image

New rubber and bearings in the rear trailingarms.

Image

Image

New shockabsorbers all. I decided to go for Bilstein B6 with the combination of original springs. Keep the comfort but have a lott better handling.

The rear also new rubber and bearings.

Brakesystem refurbished.

Fueltanks are cleaned and painted. All new breatherhoses and fuelhoses.

The diff is repainted and new gaskets. So everything in place again.

As a final job i replaced my old carpet for a brand new original BMW carpet (pergament).

The old one:

So now it is almost finished and in original state. The original solex 4A1 must come back after a good clean and then it is ready.

This is how it is standing now.

Next update is comming within a few weeks. I have bought myself some recaroseats and they are as we speak at the upholstery to get a nice beige leder. Today i brought the backseat to them so in three weeks they are finished.
It is a original BMW leder named Dakota.
