e21 now has a friend - e46

Post by niall »

Guys. My childhood dream has finally come true, i am the proud owner of an e46 M3. It has been a car i have lusted after since launch. I am the 3rd owner of this beauty and it has been cherished by the previous owners, that is made clear by the condition.

I flew from brisbane to sydney early on friday morning and did the drive back (1000km) almost non stop. It was fantastic. I averaged 11litres per hundred km for the whole journey and was in complete comfort.

These truly are a magnificent car. I will of course be keeping my e21 and most likely driving it daily and use the m3 evenings and weekends. I am trying not to thrash it too much as i can be hard on cars. i want this one to last. I will how ever be doing a little race between my e21 and e46 maybe from a 50kph rolling start.

Which do you think is quicker? e21 or e46? :D

here are a couple of snaps, no proper photos yet

Sorry mate, had to move this one to the OT section

Anyway, congrats on a wonderful buy in a rare color as well! That surely is going to be fun!

Quite a lot of E21 owners driving E46's these days, even though most of them are not M3's as usually they're their daily's.

Same here, after using an E36 M3 as my daily for a few years it finally dawned upon me that I made too many km's to use that one as a daily, especially as that also meant driving here over our salt covered winter roads. That's when I swapped the E36 for a 330i manual sedan which proved to be a good solution sofar.

Enough from me, looking forward to more pics and stories on the M3. If only I was able to cut down on my km's I'd love to have one myself. Enjoy!
Regards/groeten, Jeroen

thanks for the comments gentlemen. I did have a big smile and still do. I will try to get some great photos soon, but the camera cannot capture all the shapes and beauty of the m3, this must be seen in person

Nice car..

If you stuck the s54 from your m3 into the e21.... :)

Just kidding... I know these cars are very expensive over there so well done for working hard and achieving your dream.
