Thanks. They are very nice. Can't wait to get them in.
OEM recaro brackets make it sit a little high, so will see if I use some of polov8 ideas on DIY brackets.
It's going to be a while though, currently car is looking a little shabby
Update coming. It involves rust.

Oops, you ran into a rusty floor pan then? Bummer! On a lighter note, then you don't need these wonderful seats so you can leave them with me

So........who ordered RUST?!
Lets take a look at the right corner first. As you know I knew there was something there from the state of the corner of the wing, so no suprises when the carpet came out:
Not too bad at all really, but needs to be taken care of before it gets out of hand. I have already had the rear subframe of and everything under there looked in really good shape. A few small brown patches that I will take a look at, but that was it.
Looks like someone liked the idea of jacking it up here..
Always more then you want to believe - once you start looking you shall find:
Only a few small patches that need to be looked at under the wing though, so thats good news.
Cutting out the bad, trying to think smart and not cut too much:
I'm way out of my depth here and learing a ton - luckly MortenM has offered me some help and guidance!

Good luck man, even though these are the known E21 rust spots it means there's work to be done.

Re: 1978 318 Pastellblau - Norway
Thanks guys
Been making plenty of progress, and Morten has been showing of his welding skills.
Got the right side cut out and cleaned up:
Draining holes or whatever they are before and after. Luckily only superficial rust!
Abit of the sill around the jacking point coming out:
Over to the left side, which doesn't look too bad at all around the corner...well at least most of it is still there:
Looks grim:
A little more damage inside the wheel arch:
Changed the plans for the seats.......................................got something real special...
Got check into a warm hospital room:
