Just goes to show that fun can be had in small (Ford) engined racecars!

Zwartkops was a blast- Chris entered me and he in TVR 1600 cc Tuscan in TT Enduro and little giants

Chris did first little giants- finishing 6 – now these guys have a break out of 1.20- he was 1.21

The day before I did TT practice and did a 1.19.3- must be a fluke……….??!

Anyway TT was disaster with Chris coming in with throttle linkage trouble. He found a missing screw and sent me out but with no more than 4500rpm

Next lap throttle cable broke!

Once recovered we just managed to replace cable before second little giants race

This was fun

Starting 6 and finished third but broke out big time with a 1.18.4- Peter Du Toit then penalised me and dropped me a place ( to a car I had overtaken!)

But we still won the overall total time across both races

Chris is a bit grumpy about the break out- what could I do?

In prizing giving I said that Peter had said I was too fast- I said that that was because we had no speed limits on IoM!

see here for the show

Another lap and I would have had the Datsun!!

sounds like the owner may have sold the car - maybe I was of some use there after all!

Hahahaha well wouldn't be the first time. Had a friendly race driver do a few laps in an E30 beating Porsche's and Ferrari's at Spa and the E30 sold immediately after.

More events planned for this year sir?

The immediate plan is to secure the Manx Classic 2015
Butch is having gearbox rebuilt- not much wrong with it other than it is at the limit for a GM gearbox Torque wise (a lot)- you may have seen the trouble I was having getting it into 2 gear at the hairpins

Some really quick (real) Cobras are coming along with the noisy Mustang in the shout for overall honours

Haven't got any further than that event so far
Sarel said he could come over in the Autumn to share Butch in a high profile event .................

pity he is so busy in June as I would like to try for Goodwood Hill with him as the "named driver"

Camilla is finished after engine and Back axle rebulid

Herman blew yet another ECU- the boys are going to replace the alternator and fit a surge cutoff (I have a spare ECU!). Am considering selling Herman as something else is en route!
