Hello,

I'm looking for a new Sound insulation for the bulkhead of the motor compartment. for our BMW E12, 1975
On realoem I see that there is a sound insulation, bulkhead interior (NR 1 on picture below). Is this the one I need? (the picture looks like the part that is in the motor compartment)
Or do I need another one? if so, does anyone know the right part number?

maybe i'm answering my own question, but I'm not sure:

on this picture below you see nr 7: SOUND INSULATING DASH PANEL ENGINE ROOM

so this sounds like the right part. But, i don't know how accurate these pictures are, the insulation I took of the car looks like the part on the picture I posted earlier (nr 1)
So which part is the right one?

I think that the first one you mentioned is indeed for inside the car. The other one is for in the eningebay. So thats the one, I think.

First one is inside passenger compartment

second is the engine room.

Also, in the second picture, number 7 is the insulation for RHD cars (steering wheel right side), you will need number 8 if you have a LHD car (steering wheel left side).

thanks guys, it's a shame that the LHD is not available anymore...
