I may have found another genuine B6 2.8
it is NI registered and looks in good nick- apparently it was owned by Frank Sytner in period.









Now the thing is the Alpina Register already has car no 293 listed!! So guys which one is real...............?

Check with Alpina, they should be able to tell what VIN the Alpina nr belongs to...

when I suggested this he says he doesn't want to pay the Euro 65 fee !

since he tells me he doesn't want to sell and he believes his to be the real #293 he won't get the numbers checked

I'm sure that you or I could take the detailed numbers down ourselves and confirm it .............

Ah well- he says it has been stored for 20 years -these photos look 20 years old- and that it will need recommissioning (i suspect that will be a bigger job than he realises at this stage!)

If he is that reluctant, I almost would says it is not the real thing....

AFAIK Alpina do not charge for this info
