What are those two grills at knee level in the front seats - are they supposed to be for radio speakers or ventilation?

... I am so excited! sold my 135i this week and kept the coffee / drink holder. Have attached it to the centre console - looks great and is 100% solid.
I was threatening to sell my Baur is I spilled one more damn cup of coffee over all the seats. Will send a picture.
We Canadians drink coffee all season and we need cup holders!!

Hi Peter! Sold the 135i huh, wondering if you're looking for a replacement and what that might be! The grills in the footwell area are for loudspeakers indeed.

Not recently afaik. Size is 4x6" which of course is very small if you want some decent music. For my own car I was thinking about adding some active under seat subwoofers, as the low frequencies suffer the most, and in this way you don't ruin original looks, but I haven't put this thought into practice yet.

Indeed!

I ask this question for the second time (asked it again in another thread) : Is the 135i cup holder a straight fit or does it need serious mods in order to be installed?
