Re: Bealo's 320/6
long overdue update time
In June i got the interior back. my guy got some genuine recaro cloth to match the front seats so we done something a bit different which I think looks great.
Also I bought an exhaust system from munich icons. Its designed for a lhd so a bit of fabrication may be needed but only time will tell

Re: Bealo's 320/6
Its been almost a year since the car went for prep and paint and im now onto the last few bits to clean up....
The engine had a clean and a bit of paint, new rocker cover and sump gaskets fitted and also fitted the e21 mounts and the e21 sump so its ready to go.
The Diff was also cleaned and painted with rear gasket
Then the headlights which look pretty good. This is not supposed to be a full nut and bolt resto but its sure heading that way and costing me a fortune!

Re: Bealo's 320/6
And finally 3rd September 23, 1 week shy of a year i get the call to say its done! Lots of appologies due to family issues etc etc but I dont care now, Its coming home
It was worth the wait, the paint job is awesome. front and rear arches rolled, all panels fitting correctly. Boot and engine bay fully prepped and painted and the shell fully painted with stone chip in the right places.

Then the fun part... putting it back together and trying to remember where everything came from!
So I've managed to get a decent amount of time over the last couple of weeks to make a start.
I started with some simple things to get my head back into it, Door locks and handles, rear lights and trunk seal. Then I started to pull the rear shocks and arms.
I got the rear coilovers, trailing arms and sway bar fitted all with new poly bushes. The 323 arms had all new bearings, still need to torque these and add the split pins. Then fitted the diff and drive shafts. I had a quick play with the ride height but will come back to this once the car is complete.

Re: Bealo's 320/6
12th September
A good bit of time presented itself to me this week so into the garage and crack on!
Heater/fan box fitted along with the loom and the dash. Next I got the pedal box and brake booster fitted with new brake and clutch master cyliders and also the headlights, horns and wiper motor and rack along with a few other odd and sods.
I got the heater control panel in and connected and connected the instrument cluster. Ive hooked up a battery to test things and so far I have working lights, horn and clock. Interior lights, cluster lights, wipers and fan dont seem to power up yet but this may be an earthing problem so a bit of investigation needed.
There has been more progress this week but Ill add that to next post as I dont have photos

Past de carterpan van de M20 E21 320/6 op deze M20B25?
Welk olie filterhuis is dit ?
Ben ook een swap aan het doen naar M20B25, zijn er nog zaken die je weet waar op te letten.

Update time
Towards the end of September I statred on the front end. Coil overs fitted, new steering rack bushes, poly sway bar bushes topmounts and tca arms with poly bushes.
Also fitted the headlights and prepped the gearbox ready to install.
I also completed a task I was not looking forward to .... the sunroof !! I realised that when I fitted the new sunroof cassette I didnt test fit the sunroof panel so I was particularly nervous about this as It would be a major step back if the grinder and welder needed to come out!
It took about 2 hours to fit but never the less it fitted woohoo.
I got fitted and operating very well but final adjustment will come after the headlining is fitted.
I dont have any specific instructions to offer when fitting these but all I can say is be patient and make very small adjustments at a time to avoid scratching new paint.
