When I bought this car the engine bay was in pieces, and while I can figure out the larger items via common sense these other cables and lines are largely a rats nest with no clear labels. Anyhow my father and I presume this nipple is supposed to have a line from it to cylinder four area of the block.(All of this under the presumption that it is a bleeder for the air in the engine to then get it to the radiator return line.) Would this happen to be the case? Thanks in advance!

I think those are for the additional air slide, number 1 in the picture.

That website: www.bmwfans.info might be of great help figuring stuff out anyways. I have blocked both of the connections, since my car doesn't have the valve anymore.

Oops, not so very familiar with the early 320i setup, don't know if these hook up to each other, but if you can account for every other connection it may be worth a try of course.

It's not the additionai air slide as suggested by wilmo, the connections shown are defo coolant. Might have something to do with an additional air slider is you have the wax element version that uses coolant temp, but I believe that is not the case.

Mystery to me!

Of course not :bag

In some way it made sense to me, I was looking for something which I couldn't find. It had something to do to preheat something and I ended up with the valve. But those are air lines.

I had this in mind:

However, this is E30. But your throttle housing shows two lines as well. Are those air or water?

They look rotten enough to be water connections.

Well I took a look at my throttle body and it appears those holes are vacuum lines with the ends plugged with screws (prior owners doing, he also used a lugnut to block off the egr, but hey if it works it works.) EDIT! You were right! I just needed to look in a different place!
