Marco's E21 320/6

Post by Marcoqm »

Hello, I was told I could introduce myself and my car here.

This is my 1981 E21. Not much has been done to it as I'm on a student budget and bought a piece of junk that needs a lot of work. So far it's had its engine rebuilt and stroked to 2.3 and lowered on H&R springs, other than that, most stuff has been maintenance. My current project is replacing the solex 4a1 carburetor for some Honda CBR1000 Keihin carbs I bought, currently trying to figure out my best options for making the manifold. Also plan on painting the car as soon as budget allows me to, changing the color to a slightly more saturated version of the E46 Individual Diamond Metallic paint.

Couldn't figure out how to embed the image, so here's the link:

Welcome, Marco. NIce car and looking forward to seeing the progress on your plans.

There's a topic on how to post pictures on the forum.

Hi Marco, welcome here! Let's call it a rough diamond, at least you have some nice plans to make it more fun, and freshen up its looks.

I totally love the E21 on a student budget idea, I went the same way although that is a couple of years ago

My first E21 was a 316 (1.8 ) that the previous owner gave 323i looks with dual exhausts and dual headlights. I was able to improve performance a bit as I did some moonlighting at a tuning business. Rejetting the carb and adjusting it on the dyno made it more lively, also more thirsty hahaha!

Anyway, keep us posted on your developments, and have lots of fun in your E21 in the meantime!
Regards/groeten, Jeroen
