Can anyone help me find a new Front Nearside brake caliper for my 323i.
BMW Part number B34.11.1.150.257
Nothing coming up on the internet and if I do find them they are "currently out of stock".
They must have been fitted to something else?
Failing that is there a simple conversion for someone elses caliper?
thanks PhilT

That is the left front brake caliper produced by Até. Yours is beyond repair? Basically it's the same LF caliper as fitted in most of the other E21 models, but with spacers fitted to be able to use vented discs. That P/N is 34 11 1 150 253 (please note that some cars were supplied with Lucas or Girling instead of Até and these are slightly different).
There are some aftermarket options for the solid disc E21's but I'm not sure if the spacers from Até calipers will fit, so that's a risk. My suggestion: get a used E21 LF Até and give it an overhaul, then you can fit the spacers from your own caliper. And you may want to overhaul the RF caliper right away as well, or perhaps that was already done.
On below image you can clearly see the spacer in the middle.

These guys make the caliper conversion kit for the Tii/E9 group.....
https://www.2002sonly.com/product-page/ ... er-spacers. Hal is a great asset to us over on the E9 forum., very helpful. Reach out to him and see if this fits the E21 ATE calipers.

I bought MK1 vauxhall cavalier nos calipers and fitted the spacers from my old rusted 323i calipers .used new half seals from a brake place in salt lake city . I had to rotate the caliper pistons 180 Deg as a cavalier has the caliper behind the axle not in front as a e21...
Any e21 ate caliper will except the spacers from a spoiled 323i caliper ..it's recommended to use new half seals to put them together..
