323i Baur TC1 convertible 1981 - Swiss import

Post by Jeroen »

With the green 323i waiting for its restore for a long time now (I really don't have the time to spare) I felt I needed another car to be able to keep driving E21's.

Finding a decent car appeared quite difficult both in Holland and in Germany so I ended up buying one in Switzerland.

Some details:
Built by BMW in 1981, then over to Baur, first registered in 1982
Polaris silver metallic paint, Pacific blue interior
106.000 km with heaps of docs to prove it
All manuals and brochures including those from Baur are with the car

First actions planned:
-get Dutch license plates 8)
-fit Bilstein shocks together with Eibach springs
-fit 15" Alpina wheels
-replace timing belt, tensioner, water pump, thermostat

Thinking about fitting a strut brace as it definitely improves handling.

A few first snapshots, more to come...

Dull color, but then again I like those brighter greens and oranges, so.. And you're driving this to Italy in July eh, eh? ;)

Thanks peeps!

BTW on the front wings as well as on the trunklid it says Fischer Autosport - BMW mobile tradition. These guys sell, service and restore BMW's and they serviced the car for a couple of years.

Thanks. Did take me a couple of months to locate this one and all cars I saw before this one were not up to my standards so it isn't that easy. Minters are becoming real rare now it seems.

Thanks peeps! Will make sure to take some updated photos as soon as she's up and rolling again after current suspension work!

And I should have mentioned this earlier, but many compliments to the business that sold me the car. They sell cars that are up to the highest standards, and their service is fantastic: Fahrzeuge Uster, Switzerland

Yeah that's her. Just wanted to post the main sales page to show what this guy sells, current cars for sale as well as past sales (including my Baur) are on there.
