Thanks chaps. It was pretty well received at the Santa Pod BMW show last weekend and was placed Top 5 in show & shine. It also managed the 620 mile round trip with no real issues. It certainly confirmed it as being much quicker than my old orange car.

Managing to make any E21 a bit different, to the others out there, is getting tougher. One of the reasons I sold my rear window louvre is that there are now quite a few available, partly due to all the copies, where people are trying to cash in on the rarity and value of the genuine Autoplas items. The Prototipo steering wheels are also incredibly popular too, hence my looking to replace my own. I also wanted something that suited the overall look I was going for. Anyway, I found just the wheel in Holland. It's a rare 2 spoke wheel and is in awesome condition too!

Goodbye louvre.

Hello funky steering wheel.

I know it won't be to everyone's taste but I think it's really funky and certainly pretty rare.

At the moment I am having an issue with the remote servo, so it's in at ARM who look after my E30 for me. I've been invited to show my car at Ultimate Stance with Wheel Whores in November and there are a couple of magazine articles coming up soon, so it's great to see that UK e21 are still on the up. :thumbsup

Yes, Hans always manages to find some very cool steering wheels. I do like the Prototipo but it's nice to have something a little different.

I'm looking at dropping down to 13'' wheels and am thinking banded steels in 8 & 9J with 205/60 and 215/60 Yokohamas. I still plan on doing them the same bronze colour though. So if anyone is interested in the Rotas (with plenty of tread on the tyres) just say.

These could be for sale.

Banded steels look nice, but they can be abit on the heavy side, i put some on a car once and it felt like they took 100bhp off it.

weller can be made to your specs, but prepare on a 8-10 kg weight per 1 wheel without tyre (depends on the size and width).

powertech, mangels, weller...they all look race, but the weight kills everything.

After all the effort put in this car I'm really surprised it has to go that soon.
