So I find one of my scrap 323i's, it's been resting here for about two years.

Lift it onto the concrete and remove the doors

Put it on it's side and cut it up with a massive angle grinder

Ta da!

It was hard work cutting it up in the dark! But it actually came apart a lot easier than expected.

It actually doesn't look too bad that, presumably it had rancid bits underneath?
Combine the two and we're onto a winner! I love the fact I've left the dash, steering wheel/column and pedalbox intact.

Jim, it wasn't that bad to be honest but it did have a few things wrong with it. If I could go back two years I wouldn't of broke it, especially as it was about three times better condition than grey 323i of this thread!!

I don't think so, I had to remove the rear windscreen tonight. I think you got them from one of my 316s that was on a trailer.

that front end or back end would make the best ever BBQ grill for a garden. esp. if you kept the hood / bootlid

hi Rob

Have you changed your mobile number? have been trying to call you.

I was wondering how much gap is there between the front of your engine and the rad? on mine its like 10mm which i dont think will be enough!

Also I have the same issue with the rear manifold hitting the steering, did you manage to address that?

Missed these since I went on holiday!

Nas, I think we've discussed since!

I know the guy who made the micra and micra bbq, really nice guy, but it changed ownership a while back. The E21 car-b-q will be something special when it's done, I'll probably use a different front half off another 323i as I've bent that one quite badly with the farm teleporter!

I've had a busy few months doing f'k all to this car. It came back from it's beasty exhaust after a longer delay than expected which meant it would of been a massive rush to get it done for this summer. I decided to leave it and concentrate on my E32 735i instead. Summer's over and I'm looking to get this finished over winter working on it sporadically. I have to repair my trusty Defender 90 tow car first after some cunt ran my girlfriend off the road, the Land Rover was a write off... But we've bought it back to fix! This is probably a good thing as it means I can't pick up anymore rusty heaps for the time being...
