And now for something completely different: [/python]

Image

What appears to be an M20 6 cylinder motor with a Schrick slide throttle (Flachschieber) induction system. I don't know that I have ever seen a pump mounted in that location for a 6 cylinder and I can't tell exactly how they are driving the pump (one can only assume it is off the crank, however I don't see any sort of cover or gated pulley on the pump. This car is dressed in post 1976 era flare extensions and from what I gather races in Germany. Maybe someone has more details on it?

Apparantly it is Schrick; they do have a history of making intake systems for race cars and still do as they supply F1, NASCAR and ALMS team to this day.
Not just a camshaft company...

That pump looks remarkably like a Kugelfischer one and even has the same linkages & fuel pipes?

I agree, it does look like a Kugelfischer pump, but then they did supply other companies.

I guess it's just an extension of the stuff done with the Schnitzer twink etc.

the injection system just looks like the one you get on a 2002tii with a an extra section stuck on it, obviously a bit more than that mind. the pump will also have a lever off the throttle somewhere that will kinda of control load in relation to engine speed. very simple but very effective system. also easy to change for turbo aplications
