Racing Boxing Day at Mallory (Plum Pudding meeting)

Post by Duracel79 »

Hi Guys,

Thought it might be of interest to some of you.

My Dad and I managed to get a free pass from the rest of the family to pop along to Mallory Park on boxing day.
My dad kindly let me drive in his D-Type replica. Lots of fun :crazy .

First race my dad just pootled round slowly remembering hwo to race. He was much faster by the end but he finished last.
Bonus for me was that at the Plum pudding the second race is areverse grid so i was on POLE!!

Got a cracking start and managed to lead for just over 1.5 laps before the quicker cars started to filter through. Had a long battle with some Caterfields type cars, defending in the corners and stretching the Jag's legs down the straights.

Found some Youtube videos online:

Watch from about 9.35 onwards for my dad being lapped in the first race:

Cracking start for me at Mallory on Boxing Day :)

and the whole second race, lots of defending for me:

Cheers

Ben
