My BMW E21 316 1982!

Post by jonnyodoherty »

I bought this car for £950 and i think its a bargain. Everything is more or less original! and it runs great!

Its my first ever BMW and i love it! It needs some tlc and then will be perfect.
I have a slight current issue with the hazard switch which is broke and is a hard part to find for a good price, if anyone has any tips on this i would be grateful.
The car is down as (Green) in colour on the inside left under the bonnet. I am looking forward to my time with her and hope to do a good few miles on top of the 114k it has already done.
Any tips would be grateful or any info in general.
Hope you like the pictures.

Oh and i went to the car wash and the sunroof flooded? should i of even took it to a car wash? there is a drainage system which looks like it would be effective in rain but not with high volumes of water. Am i correct in saying this?
Thanks
Jonny

Looks like a clean well kept car. Congratulation with your first BMW. I have been trying to get out of my e21 addiction, i last for a while, but then i have a fallback. I´m on my fourth now :)

Very nice! Do you have any plans for the car? Also, where are you in the UK?

Cheers!
Thanks.. Its up for its MOT in july so ill be getting a little bit of welding done. Then the project starts. Hopefully i will get some spraying done to the body work and then she'll be pretty much in superb condition from the outside. The inside could do with some attention. The drivers seat needs a slight restore and the radio needs new knobs. Otherwise shes in great condition. I'm from Preston. Yourself?
